Aleš Šinkovec

Managing Director

Aleš Šinkovec is a Managing Director with Teneo, based in Brussels.

Aleš specialises in EU Energy and Environment law, advising clients on developments on all topics related to the EU Green Deal and the Circular Economy, providing them with effective lobbying strategies and strategic outreach. Prior to joining Teneo, Aleš worked at several different consultancies focusing on public affairs, where he led the energy and environment teams. He was also a Director of the trade association IPC (Institute of Printed Circuits), responsible for policy work and membership growth.

Aleš started his time in Brussels in the European Parliament, working as a senior policy advisor to an MEP from the EPP Group, covering both the Environment (ENVI) and Industry (ITRE) committees. Before Brussels, he worked in the US for Wind Capital Group and was a journalist in Slovenia for The Slovenia Times. He speaks native English, Slovenian and has a working knowledge of French.
